The Land Management Program is aimed at the need to preserve soils and land resources and it covers soil and land capability, land and planning issues, also by improving cropping and pasture management by:

 - maintaining groundcover to improve soil health and reduce wind and water erosion,
 - reducing the salinity risk by increasing soil water holding capacity and reducing accessions to the watertable,
 - improving soil health by increasing soil organic carbon levels.

As NSW Catchment Management Authorities have been provided funding under the joint Commonwealth - State Natural Heritage Trust program for the implementation of natural resource management projects.  Landholders will also receive a free site visit, technical advice and help to design a project that best meets your property's needs.  Please contact your local CMA
